Carefully follow this guide to install the Alfa Dashboard firmware on your ESP32 device.
The procedure is straightforward, but it is important to respect each step to avoid issues during flashing.
Connect the ESP32 device to your computer via USB.
Log into the site and access the Flash area.
After login, go to the “Flash firmware” section of the site.
Click the “Connect and authorize device” button.
A browser pop-up will appear, allowing you to select the serial port of your ESP32.
Only after this step the “Connect” buttons for the firmware flash will become available.
Note: each account can be associated only with the first virgin device.
After the first association, your account will be permanently linked to that ESP32 and cannot be used with other virgin devices.
Select the correct port and confirm.
The tool will start the flashing procedure:
If your account does not yet have an associated device:
the “Flash firmware” button will be available and you will be able to perform the first flash on a virgin ESP32.
After this first flash, the account will be permanently associated with that device.
If your account already has an associated device:
you will be able to update and flash the firmware as many times as you wish, but only on that registered ESP32.
The site will block the flash procedure on other virgin devices and show a warning message.
During the flash procedure:
If requested, hold the BOOT/RESET button on the ESP32 board for a few seconds until the process starts.
Do not disconnect the USB cable during flashing.
Wait for the process to complete and then reboot the device.
Once finished, your ESP32 will be ready with the Alfa Dashboard firmware installed.
You will be able to update the firmware in the future as many times as you want, with no limits, but only on the same device already associated with your account.
⚠ Important notes:
Use an up-to-date Chrome or Edge browser for proper WebUSB support.
Make sure the correct USB drivers for ESP32 are installed on your PC.
If you experience issues, try selecting the port again or use a different USB cable.
